Eleven former players set to participate in Notre Dame Pro Day
Eleven former Notre Dame football players will get an audition for professional football Tuesday.
Professional scouts will arrive in South Bend to poke and prod the group of athletes trying to extend their football career in the NFL or elsewhere.
The group includes five players from Notre Dame's 2014 roster: kicker Kyle Brindza, tight end Ben Koyack, running back Cam McDaniel, cornerback Cody Riggs and defensive lineman Justin Utupo.
Wide receiver DaVaris Daniels and linebacker Kendall Moore, both suspended from Notre Dame last year, will also take part in Pro Day activities.
The list also includes three former Irish players who finished their careers elsewhere last season: quarterback Andrew Hendrix and tight end Alex Welch at Miami of Ohio and tight end Jake Golic at Cincinnati.
Defensive lineman Ethan Johnson, who last played for Notre Dame during the 2011 season, is also expected to participate. Johnson was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012.
