Julian Okwara doesn't want to wait any longer.

The junior defensive end recently announced his commitment decision would come on April 30. On Monday night, he made a change of plans.

Okwara, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound prospect at Charlotte (N.C.) Ardrey Kell, will make his verbal commitment public Tuesday night at 6 p.m. EDT.

The four-star recruit named a top five earlier this month that included Notre Dame, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan and Ole Miss. But few expect Okwara to select anyone other than the Irish.

Okwara's older brother, Romeo, will return for his senior year as a Notre Dame defensive end this fall. The younger Okwara has been to campus a number of times, but he made his first visit as a Notre Dame recruit in March. The Irish offered him in February.

247Sports slates Okwara as the No. 21 weakside defensive end and No. 290 regardless of position in the 2016 class. Rivals ranks him as the No. 16 outside linebacker and No. 179 overall.
