Notre Dame CB target Campbell commits to Northwestern
IRISH STEW
Cornerback recruit Roderick Campbell, one of the standouts of last summer's Irish Invasion, announced his verbal commitment to Northwestern on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect received an offer from the Irish in late February, but saw his Irish recruitment slow after cornerback Julian Love committed to Notre Dame in March.
Campbell, a three-star recruit from St. Louis Chaminade College Prep, had been scheduled to visit the Irish again in late March but chose to attend a camp in Chicago instead. He visited Northwestern this past weekend before committing to the Wildcats.
Rivals ranks Campbell as the No. 28 cornerback in the 2016 class. 247Sports slates him No. 45 at the position.
