Josh King has narrowed his focus to five schools.

The four-star defensive end prospect released a top five Friday including Notre Dame, Michigan State, Penn State, Michigan and USC.

UPDATE (5/14): King will make his commitment decision June 6.

King, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound junior at Darien (Ill.) Hinsdale South, said Sunday that proximity is working in Notre Dame's favor.

“The best thing about Notre Dame I’m liking is that it’s so close to home,” King said.

King, who won a wrestling state championship in the 220 weight class, plans to bulk up to 240 pounds in time for his senior season. Both Rivals and 247Sports slate King as the No. 4 strongside defensive end in the 2016 class.

Below are highlights of King's junior season, via Hudl, in which he recorded 70 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and five sacks.

I'd like to say thank you to every school that showed interested and took time to recruit me it really means a lot
