California athlete David Long Jr. reports Irish offer

Recruiting activity continued for Notre Dame in California on Wednesday.

David Long Jr., a wide receiver and cornerback at Los Angeles Loyola, claimed a new offer from the Irish. Long said Notre Dame is recruiting him as a multi-position athlete.

Long, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound recruit, caught 25 passes for 414 yards and three touchdowns last season. The four-star prospect reports more than 20 offers including UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Oklahoma and Michigan.

247Sports slates Long as the No. 11 cornerback and No. 131 regardless of position in the 2016 class. Rivals ranks him as the No. 30 athlete.
