QB target Dwayne Haskins sets commitment date

Notre Dame's top quarterback target in the 2016 class will announce his decision soon.

Four-star recruit Dwayne Haskins will share his commitment Friday in a webcast at 3 p.m. EDT.

Haskins, a 6-foot-2, 188-pound junior at Potomac (Md.) Bullis School, will choose from a number of schools including Maryland, Rutgers, Florida, Alabama, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame.

Notre Dame hosted Haskins in March for its junior day.

As a junior, Haskins completed 159 of his 259 passes for 1,936 yards and 22 touchdowns. 247Sports slates Haskins as the No. 3 pro-style quarterback and No. 26 overall in the 2016 class. Rivals ranks him fourth at the position and No. 68 overall.
