Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Ben Koyack, a seventh-round draft pick from Notre Dame, has signed his rookie contract.

Koyack is the fourth of the team's eight draft picks to sign rookie deals, following first-rounder Dante Fowler Jr., fellow seventh-rounder Neal Sterling and fourth-rounder James Sample.

Koyack was the sixth tight end drafted by the Jaguars and the first since 2009. He joins former ND players offensive tackle Sam Young and safety Sergio Brown on the Jacksonville roster.

He will compete for a backup spot with the Jaguars, who have high-priced free agent Julius Thomas and veteran Marcedes Lewis entrenched on the roster.
