Running back Devwah Whaley recently released a top 10. Now Notre Dame will try to make a late jump into the list.

Whaley, a four-star recruit, reported an Irish offer Wednesday on Twitter after receiving word from Notre Dame tight ends coach Scott Booker.

On Monday, he listed Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Texas as his top 10 schools.

The 6-foot, 205-pound Whaley rushed for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in his junior season at Beaumont (Texas) Central.

247Sports slates Whaley as the No. 5 running back and No. 180 regardless of position in the 2016 class. Rivals ranks him 11th at his position and No. 214 overall.
