An early commitment to Virginia Tech hasn't stopped schools from recruiting cornerback Troy Pride Jr.

Notre Dame entered the hunt for Pride on Thursday and became the seventh school to offer the Greer, S.C., native.

The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect gave his verbal commitment to the Hokies in February. North Carolina and Maryland are among the other schools to offer Pride.

247Sports slates Pride as a four-star recruit and the No. 24 cornerback in the 2016 class. Rivals pegs him as a three-star prospect.
