Notre Dame has plenty of competition in the recruitment of Damar Hamlin.

After Wednesday night, the Irish may have a better idea of the top contenders for the 2016 cornerback recruit.

Hamlin announced his top 10 schools on Twitter. Notre Dame was joined by Ohio State, Clemson, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Miami, Penn State, Michigan State and Auburn. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect at Pittsburgh Central Catholic claims more than 30 offers.

The Irish hosted Hamlin, a four-star recruit, in March for junior day after extending him an offer last November. He recorded 45 tackles and four interceptions as a defensive back last season. He also caught seven passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns as a junior.

247Sports slates Hamlin as the No. 17 cornerback and No. 196 regardless of position in the 2016 class. Rivals ranks him No. 126 overall.
