Trevon Sidney could play at any number of colleges. He could also play multiple positions.

As the four-star recruit starts to sort out his future, Notre Dame remains as a top contender for Sidney. He named a top 10 on Thursday night and listed the Irish in the mix with USC, UCLA, Washington, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Arizona, Utah.

Sidney played wide receiver and defensive back at La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat as a junior. He finished the season with 38 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns and 47 tackles and four interceptions. Notre Dame would likely find room for Sidney on either side of the ball, but he said the Irish are recruiting him as a wide receiver.

247Sports slates Sidney, a 6-foot, 175-pound recruit, as the No. 14 wide receiver and No. 106 regardless of position in the 2016 class. Rivals ranks him 17th at receiver and 97th overall.
