While Paris Ford was collecting birthday presents, Notre Dame gave him another one.

The Irish extended a scholarship offer to Ford, a four-star safety in the 2017 class, on his birthday Saturday. Ford reported the offer on Twitter.

Notre Dame became the 17th school to offer Ford a scholarship. He also claims offers from Penn State, Pittsburgh, Michigan and Auburn, among others.

The 6-foot, 172-pound prospect recorded 56 tackles and four interceptions in his sophomore season at Pittsburgh Seton-La Salle. He added 34 receptions for 527 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense.

247Sports pegs Ford as the No. 9 safety in the 2017 class and No. 146 regardless of position.
