The wait for his first scholarship offer ended Sunday for R.J. Potts. Now the 2017 defensive back holds a Notre Dame offer.

Potts, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound safety at Fishers (Ind.) High, reported the Irish offer on Twitter.

Notre Dame hosted Potts, who intercepted four passes in his sophomore season, in April for the Blue-Gold Game.

247Sports rates Potts as a four-star recruit, the No. 16 safety and No. 214 overall in the 2017 class.

Below are sophomore highlights of Potts via Hudl.
