No surprises came from Austin Mack and Auston Robertson on Sunday.

The two Fort Wayne recruits announced their verbal commitments to the schools many predicted they would choose.

Mack, a four-star wide receiver, gave his pledge to Ohio State. Robertson, a four-star defensive end, committed to Michigan State.

Both recruits shared their commitments during the R.A.S. Football Camp at the Athletes With Purpose facility in Fort Wayne.

Notre Dame had long been in pursuit of both prospects. The Irish coaching staff hosted both prospects in late May for one final visit, but it wasn't enough to sway their decision.

Mack, 6-foot-2, 205-pound recruit, caught 69 passes for 1,062 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior for Bishop Luers High School, the alma mater of Irish linebacker Jaylon Smith. 247Sports slates Mack as the No. 26 wide receiver in the country, and Rivals ranks him No. 43.

Robertson, 6-foot-5, 240-pound prospect, recorded 74 tackles and 10.5 sacks in his junior season at Wayne High School. 247Sports slates Robertson as the No. 7 weakside defensive end in the 2016 class. Rivals ranks him eighth at the position.

Very thankful and proud to be a Buckeye! ⭕️  pic.twitter.com/wYxnhyMGJ1
