Notre Dame's newest defensive end target grew up cheering for the Irish.

Carlo Kemp, a 6-foot-3, 262-pound recruit from Boulder (Colo.) Fairview, added a Notre Dame offer on Tuesday.

Peach Pagano, Kemp's mother, reported the offer to ND Insider. On her private Twitter account, Pagano shared a photo of Kemp as a baby wearing a Notre Dame sweatshirt.

Kemp, the nephew of Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano and San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator John Pagano, has pulled in more than a dozen offers including Michigan, Arizona State, Colorado and UCLA. The athletic defensive lineman also spent some time playing linebacker and fullback in his junior season.

Rivals rates Kemp as a four-star recruit and the No. 9 weakside defensive end in the 2016 class. 247Sports slates him as a three-star prospect and the No. 29 strongside defensive end.
