A productive sophomore season by running back Anthony McFarland Jr. caught the attention of many college football coaches — Notre Dame's coaching staff included.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound prospect at Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha reported an Irish offer Wednesday. Notre Dame joined an offer list of 22 schools that already includes Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Ohio State.

The four-star prospect combined for 1,124 rushing yards, 312 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in his sophomore season.

247Sports slates McFarland as the No. 2 all-purpose back and No. 22 overall in the 2017 class.
