Chauncey Gardner is committed to Florida, but that won't stop him from visiting Notre Dame.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound 2016 cornerback tweeted on Thursday that he plans to take an official visit to South Bend for the Irish's home game against USC on Oct. 17. He also plans to take official visits to Georgia, Alabama, Penn State and Florida.

A consensus four-star recruit, Gardner touts scholarship offers from more than 20 schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and of course, Notre Dame.

Gardner attends Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Fla., the same school and hometown as Notre Dame junior running back Tarean Folston.
