Lamar Jackson will be busy in the fall.

Besides playing his senior season at Franklin High School in Elk Grove, Calif., Jackson — a consensus four-star safety — has set his five official visits, with a trip to South Bend kicking off the list.

A 6-foot-2, 206-pound safety, Jackson will take his first official visit for Notre Dame's opener against Texas on Sept. 5. He will also take official visits to Arizona State, Oklahoma, Oregon and Michigan.

Jackson is ranked by Rivals as the No. 81 overall prospect, the No. 12 player in the state of California and the No. 6 safety in the country, while 247Sports has him slated as the No. 110 overall recruit, the No. 13 player in California and the No. 5 safety in his class.

Of Notre Dame's 13 verbal commits in the 2016 class, three — Spencer Perry, Jalen Elliott and Julian Love — are defensive backs.
