Prepare to see plenty of the Notre Dame football program this season.

Showtime, a premium cable network, announced Tuesday an upcoming series featuring the Irish.

"A Season with Notre Dame Football," is set to premiere Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. ET following Notre Dame's season opener against Texas and will continue with 11 more 30-minute episodes throughout the season.

"We’re honored and thrilled to be granted access to profile a college football program with a legacy as storied and as fascinating as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish,” Stephen Espinoza, executive vice president and general manager of Showtime Sports, said in a release. "The passion of the players and head coach Brian Kelly will make for a compelling television series that will appeal beyond hardcore college football fans to all viewers who appreciate great storytelling."

The Notre Dame men's basketball team was featured in a Showtime documentary, HOOPS U, in March. The cameras followed the Irish through the final months of the regular season and into the ACC Tournament.
