'Retired' Lou Holtz back in business, hosting 3 radio shows
IRISH STEW
Lou Holtz continues to redefine the word “retirement.”
… As in it being almost the exact opposite of the traditional dictionary meaning.
The former Notre Dame head football coach and recently retired ESPN college football analyst is plunging into yet another venture — this one on SiriusXM satellite radio.
Starting on Friday, the 78-year-old Holtz will host twice a week on SiriusXM’s College Sports Nation channel, talking college football and taking calls from listeners on The Playbook show every Friday (1 to 4 p.m. ET) alongside Jack Arute.
He will also be heard every Saturday hosting the College Football Tailgate Show (9 a.m. to noon ET) with Jason Horowitz and Phil Savage.
Holtz, an avid golfer, will debut a new golf show on Tuesday (1 to 3 p.m. ET) on the SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio channel. It’s called “Holtz in One,” which Holtz will host alongside Fred Albers.
