Former Notre Dame wide receiver DaVaris Daniels is now a former Minnesota Viking.

The NFL team cut the undrafted free agent Sunday as the Vikings whittled their roster to the requisite 75 it must reach by Tuesday. The final cutdown to 53 must happen by Saturday.

At that time it's possible Daniels could be signed as a practice-squad player by the Vikings or another team.

The 6-foot-1, 201-pounder last played for the Irish in 2013, then was suspended for the 2014 season for his involvement in the school's academic dishonesty investigation.

Instead of trying to return to ND, Daniels was an early entry in the 2015 NFL Draft.
