#NDInsider Twitter Chatter: Notre Dame-Texas
IRISH STEW
Tyler James opened up another season of the #NDInsider Twitter Chatter for Notre Dame fans Saturday night. Any tweets using the hashtag were eligible for the postgame recap.
Before we move forward to focusing on Virginia, here's a look at Irish fans reacting to a blowout victory over Texas in the first game of the 2015 season.
Plenty of excitement comes with a season holding high expectations, but so does skepticism.
#NDInsider can this years #NDFootball team top the emotion and feeling of last years @NDmbb team? Gonna be tough to beat but #goirish

Notre Dame starting running back Tarean Folston went down with a knee injury early in the game. Freshman Josh Adams, filling in for Folston with C.J. Prosise, scored on his first career carry late in the first quarter.
Nooooooooooooooo....not Tarean...do not start this with this stuff football gods #ndinsider

Notre Dame's defense held the Longhorns scoreless in the first half. Head coach Brian Kelly helped out by calling two timeouts before Texas would miss a field goal with no time remaining.
ND's defensive is absolutely DESTROYING people left and right. Literally, destroying. #NDInsider#GoIrishBeatTexas

Irish fans expressed cautious optimism at halftime.
@TJamesNDI I feel great. Zaire looks poised. O-line is giving great protection. Sad about Folston, but others have stepped up. #NDInsider

@TJamesNDI False starts aside, O-Line has shined. Defense putting on a clinic especially on d-line. Malik's has been impressive. #NDInsider

@TJamesNDI A sigh of relief. Zaire has looked poised. O-line needs to stop the penalties. Defense. Nuff said. #NDInsider

Texas seemed to be gaining momentum following its first score of the game, a field goal with 8:36 left in the third quarter, but the Irish responded with two more touchdowns before the end of the quarter.
HATE the fact we are leaving these guys in the game! #FinishThemOff#GoIrish#NDInsider
