Before Notre Dame took the field Saturday, the Irish coaching staff took care of a little recruiting business.

Junior athlete Brendon White, 6-foot-2, 190-pound recruit from Powell (Ohio) Olentangy Liberty, reported a Notre Dame offer. He shared the news on Twitter.

White, who has recorded four interceptions as a safety in three games this season, is the son of former Ohio State safety William White.

Notre Dame became the sixth school to offer White, following the lead of Michigan State, Boston College, Illinois, Marshall and Toledo.

247Sports slates White as a four-star recruit and the No. 23 safety in the 2017 class. Rivals rates him as a three-star prospect and the No. 22 athlete.
