Injury bug hits Notre Dame commits

Notre Dame safety commit Spencer Perry announced Wednesday that a shoulder injury has cut his senior season short.

Perry did not immediately respond when asked for details of his injury, but he's not the only Irish commit who has had to miss time this season.

Last Friday, defensive end Adetokunbo Ogundeji left his game with a knee injury. Ogundeji described the injury as "pretty bad" and hopes to find out how long he will be sidelined later this week.

Long snapper John Shannon has been out for the last two weeks after suffering a shoulder injury on Sept. 4.

Offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg has also missed time, but not because of an injury. Eichenberg sat out his last two games as he battles mononucleosis. He hopes to return to action next week.
