Notre Dame-USC weekend campus events

The USC Trojans are coming to town to take on the Fighting Irish on Saturday night in Notre Dame Stadium. Here are some activities scheduled on campus today through Sunday:


• 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Notre Dame Stadium tunnel tour. Enter at the north side and walk down the tunnel to take photos

• 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Campus tours start at Eck Visitors’ Center.

• Noon to 4 p.m. Guided tours of DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.

• 2 p.m. “Rockne’s Ramblers and the Rise of the ND vs. USC Rivalry,” lecture by John Heisler, senior associate athletic director, and Jim Lefebvre, author and sports historian. Auditorium, Eck Visitors Center

• 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. A conversation with Tim Brown, 1988 Notre Dame graduate, Heisman Trophy winner and NFL Hall of Famer, followed by a conversation with Marc Edwards, former Notre Dame fullback and later an NFL player. ND Live Stage near Hammes Bookstore

• 4 p.m. Trumpets Under the Dome. The Notre Dame band trumpet section plays inside the Main Building.

• 4:30 p.m. Notre Dame Marching Band steps off from front steps of Main Building.

• 5 p.m. Glee Club open rehearsal, 220 Coleman-Morse Hall.

• 5 to 8 p.m. Irish culture fair hosted by campus Irish Club. Dooley Room, LaFortune Student Center

• 5:45 p.m. Pep rally. Library Quad near reflecting pool. Country musician Zach DuBois, a Notre Dame graduate, will perform before the pep rally.

7 p.m. Irish women’s volleyball vs. Duke. Purcell Pavilion

7 p.m. Irish women’s soccer vs. Wake Forest. Alumni Stadium


• Noon to 4 p.m. LaBar Football Practice Field open house, enter near northeast corner of Joyce Center.

• Noon to 7 p.m. Notre Dame experience, fan fest in north dome of Joyce Center.

• 3:30 p.m. Notre Dame Bagpipe Band concert, front of Main Building.

• 4:30 p.m. Notre Dame Glee Club pregame concert, Library Quad near reflecting pool.

• 5:15 p.m. Player walk. Notre Dame football players and coaches walk from Guglielmino Complex to Hesburgh Library to Notre Dame Stadium. Public welcome to line up along the route.

• 6 p.m. Notre Dame Marching Band concert, steps of Bond Hall.

• 6:30 p.m. Trumpets Under the Dome. Notre Dame Band trumpet section plays inside the Main Building.

• 6:40 p.m. Marching Band march-out, starting from front of Main Building to Notre Dame Stadium.

• 7:30 p.m. Notre Dame vs. USC football game, Notre Dame Stadium.


• 8, 10 and 11:45 a.m. Mass, Sacred Heart Basilica

• 1 p.m. Fighting Irish women’s volleyball vs. Wake Forest. Alumni Stadium
