It appears, at least for now, that top 2017 quarterback Hunter Johnson is no longer an option for Notre Dame.

And so, the Irish have moved on to new prospects.

Avery Davis — a 6-foot, 190-pound quarterback from Cedar Hill, Texas — reported a Notre Dame offer on Twitter on Thursday. Davis, who is ranked as a three-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports, adds the Irish to a list of offers that includes Texas Tech, Colorado, Kansas, Oregon State, SMU, Tulsa and Utah State.

The Cedar Hill High School standout is listed as the No. 12 dual threat quarterback, the No. 54 player in the state of Texas and the No. 378 overall prospect in the 2017 class by 247Sports. Rivals slates him as the No. 53 player in Texas.
