Notre Dame safety target Devin Studstill sets commitment date
IRISH STEW
Notre Dame might not have to wait long for its next commitment.
Safety Devin Studstill will announce his decision Tuesday night. ESPN West Palm announced it will broadcast his announcement at 6 p.m.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior has been focused on five schools: Notre Dame, Miami, Texas, West Virginia and North Carolina. Confidence that the Irish lead has been high since his official visit for the USC game.
If Studstill commits to Notre Dame, he would become the fourth visitor from the USC game to join the Irish recruiting class.
Studstill intends to enroll early at the school of his choice. He could follow former teammate Te'von Coney's path from Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) High to South Bend.
Studstill said earlier this week that he plans to make an official visit to Texas this weekend.
247Sports slates Studstill as a four-star recruit and the No. 13 safety in the 2016 class. Rivals rates him as a three-star prospect and the No. 45 athlete.
