Three Notre Dame commits appear in 2017 Rivals 100

It's never too early to look ahead, especially considering the talent Notre Dame has coming.

Three Irish commits appear in the updated 2017 Rivals 100, which was released Monday.

The-top ranked Notre Dame verbal commit was 6-foot-5, 238-pound tight end Brock Wright, who landed at No. 34. Defensive end Robert Beal was slotted at No. 51 while offensive lineman Josh Lugg was ranked No. 73. All three players were designated as four-star recruits.

Wright is ranked by Rivals as the No. 4 player in the state of Texas and the top tight end in the 2017 class. Beal — a a 6-3, 217-pound defensive end — is slotted as the No. 16 player in the state of Georgia in 2017. A 6-7, 280-pound offensive tackle, Lugg is ranked as the No. 8 player in Pennsylvania.

Notre Dame's three commits in the Rivals 100 are the second-most of any school, tied with Ohio State. Alabama leads all programs with five commits.
