The All-American nods keep rolling in.
Notre Dame senior offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley and junior linebacker Jaylon Smith were named first team All-Americans by The Sporting News on Tuesday. Junior wide receiver Will Fuller landed on the second team.
A 6-foot-6, 315-pound senior, Stanley has started 38 consecutive games on the Notre Dame offensive line. He was named the team's offensive player of the year at Echoes 15, a season after winning the Offensive Lineman of the Year award.
Smith — a 6-3, 240-pound junior — has racked up a combined 125 tackles in the last two seasons, becoming the second Irish player (after Manti Te'o) in the Brian Kelly Era to record more than 100 tackles in back-to-back campaigns. He also led the Irish with five pass break ups in 2015.
Fuller led Notre Dame with 1,145 receiving yards, 20.4 yards per catch and 13 touchdowns, nine of which came from 30 yards or longer. The 6-foot, 184-pound junior was named Team MVP at Echoes 15 last weekend.
