Notre Dame's season-long Showtime Series "A Season With Notre Dame Football" aired its final episode on Tuesday night, and the finale brought with it plenty of drama and heartbreak.

The following clip, which marked the final three and a half minutes of last night's episode, includes head coach Brian Kelly's final message to his players, the departing players' words for the next wave of Irish leaders and even a tease towards the 2016 season.

At one point, Kelly hugs injured junior quarterback Malik Zaire and says, "Be ready."

Zaire replies, "I'm always ready," to which Kelly responds, "Team 128."

Zaire is expected to compete with DeShone Kizer and Brandon Wimbush for the starting quarterback job next fall
