Four-star RB A.J. Dillon adds Notre Dame offer

Running back A.J. Dillon, the grandson of former Irish All-American Thom Gatewood, reported a Notre Dame offer on Sunday. He received the news from ND running backs coach Autry Denson in the morning.
The four-star recruit rushed for 1,722 yards and 23 touchdowns in his junior season at Groton (Mass.) Lawrence Academy. He visited Notre Dame in June for the Irish Invasion.
Rivals ranks the 6-0, 228-pound Dillon as the No. 16 running back in the 2017 class. 247Sports slates him No. 18 at the position.
Dillon claims 10 offers: Boston College, UConn, Iowa, UMass, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Temple, Villanova, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
