Even Harry Hiestand doesn’t get everything on his wish list.

Notre Dame’s offensive line coach was unable to beat the Badgers for Wisconsin product Tyler Beach.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive lineman gave his verbal commitment to Wisconsin on Sunday. The Irish offered Beach on his visit to Notre Dame for junior day in March.

Following his junior season at Port Washington (Wisc.) High, Beach accumulated an offer list that also included Michigan, Arkansas and Missouri. But the four-star recruit chose to stay in his home state.

Rivals ranks Beach as the No. 28 offensive tackle in the 2017 class. 247Sports slates him 32nd at the position.

New offers

A pair of recruits landed Notre Dame offers while visiting campus Saturday: 2017 athlete Isaiah Robertson and 2018 defensive tackle PJ Mustipher.

Robertson, a 6-2, 185-pound prospect from Naperville (Ill.) Neuqua Valley, could play wide receiver or safety in college. The four-star recruit has also reported offers from Penn State, Iowa, Maryland, Wisconsin and Illinois, among others.

Rivals ranks Robertson as the No. 25 wide receiver in the 2017 class. 247Sports has him No. 26 at the position.

Mustipher is the 6-5, 275-pound younger brother of Irish center Sam Mustipher. The younger Mustipher has already received offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Tennessee after only two season at Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh School.

247Sports recently ranked PJ Mustipher as the No. 4 defensive tackle and No. 24 overall in the 2018 class.
