Local recruit Cedric Mitchell is scheduled to visit Notre Dame on Wednesday.

Mitchell, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound junior at Concord, has landed on the radar of Notre Dame with recruiting coordinator Mike Elston in contact with the emerging college prospect.

Mitchell, who played wide receiver and defensive back last season, caught 26 passes for 613 yards and 10 touchdowns and recorded 65 tackles and four interceptions.

His recruitment started to pick up in March with his first scholarship offer coming from Toledo. He’s added Western Michigan, Ball State, Temple, Miami of Ohio, Bowling Green and Iowa State to his offer list since then.

247Sports slates Mitchell as a three-star recruit and the No. 114 wide receiver in the 2017 class.
