A 2018 recruit reported a Notre Dame offer Wednesday while visiting campus. ND Insider takes a closer look at defensive tackle Aeneas Hawkins.

Top offers: Notre Dame became the fifth school to offer Hawkins a scholarship following Florida State, Kentucky, Florida and Toledo. Florida State became his first offer on March 29.

Notre Dame connection: Hawkins attends the same high school as Irish defensive tackle Elijah Taylor. Hawkins is the son of Artrell Hawkins, a second round draft pick for the Cincinnati Bengals in 1998, and the nephew of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins.

Visit plans: Hawkins has a trip to Ohio State scheduled for Saturday.
