Notre Dame LB Jarrett Grace gets tryout with Chicago Bears
Former Notre Dame linebacker Jarrett Grace on Monday secured a tryout with the Chicago Bears at the team’s upcoming rookie mini-camp.
That means all 14 Irish football players in this draft class who were pursuing a pro football career will get a chance to chase it.
Seven ND players were taken in last week’s NFL Draft. Five others were signed to rookie free agent deals after the draft. Ishaq Williams (Giants) and Grace secured tryouts, as did former ND safety Eilar Hardy (Bengals), who finished up at Bowling Green.
Quarterback Everett Golson, who transferred to Florida State in 2015 for his final season of eligibility, went undrafted and so far hasn’t been signed with a team or lined up a tryout.
