Notre Dame-Texas gets 7:30 p.m. (EDT) kickoff time on ABC

Notre Dame football’s 2016 season opener now has a kickoff time and a televising network.

The Sunday night game, Sept. 4 in Austin Texas, has been slated for 7:30 EDT, with ABC televising the game nationally.

It’s the first of three known night game on the Notre Dame schedule. The Irish could end up playing as many as six in the regular season.

This will mark the 12th all-time meeting between the Irish and Longhorns. Notre Dame leads the series 9-2, including the 2015 season opener for both teams in Notre Dame Stadium, won 38-3 by Notre Dame.
