Notre Dame football tickets on sale Thursday night
IRISH STEW
Single-game tickets for Notre Dame football home games will be released online for public purchase Thursday night.
The sale, which will start at 6 p.m. EDT only at UND.com/BuyTickets, will include tickets for most home games for the 2016 season and the Shamrock Series game in San Antonio against Army.
By Wednesday night, tickets for the Michigan State game were already sold out following the ticket allotments for season ticket holders, the ticket lottery and pre-sale purchases. Ticket availability for the games against Duke and Stanford was also limited. Only nonadjacent, single tickets remained available for both games.
A face value increase of $25 from last season didn’t prevent the Michigan State game from selling out. Home game tickets were priced as high as $125 for games against Texas and USC in 2015. This season, the Michigan State and Miami games come with a $150 price tag.
The pricing for the remaining home games includes $125 for Stanford, $85 for Duke and Virginia Tech, and $75 for Nevada. Tickets for the game in San Antonio range from $45 to $250.
On Friday, tickets can be purchased starting at 8:30 a.m. EDT in person at the Murnane Family Ticket Office in the Joyce Center or by phone (574-631-7356). Tickets will also remain on sale online.
The last 249 games in Notre Dame Stadium have featured sellout crowds.
Shamrock Series uniforms
The latest look for Notre Dame’s Shamrock Series game will be unveiled Thursday at 6:30 p.m. EDT. Last season, the Irish wore all green uniforms in Boston’s Fenway Park.
What will the Irish wear this year? The Tribune will have coverage Thursday night on NDInsider.com and in Friday’s edition of the Tribune.
