Madden NFL rankings for former Notre Dame players released

Madden NFL 17 won’t release until later this month, but the gurus at EA Sports have already published their player ratings for the upcoming season.

The ratings are available in a searchable database, so ND Insider decided to find the grades for former Notre Dame football players. The complete list is below with safety Harrison Smith taking the crown and long snapper J.J. Jansen with the lowest rating. (The five-year, $5.5 million contract Jansen signed in offseason will probably ease his mind.)

Veterans definitely receive the benefit of the doubt with Ronnie Stanley ranked as the highest rookie from Notre Dame. The No. 6 draft pick is slated behind nine former Irish players.

What do you think of the ratings? Who’s rated too high or too low? Tell us in the comments section.
