The secondary ticket market for Notre Dame athletics now has an official home. Notre Dame and Vivid Seats, a Chicago-based secondary ticketing marketplace, announced Thursday a new partnership.
Vivid Seats has become the "Official Ticket Marketplace of the Fighting Irish" as of Thursday. The partnership will allow Irish fans to buy and sell tickets on the secondary market with the help of Notre Dame. In 2017, the Notre Dame Ticket Exchange powered by Vivid Seats is scheduled to launch.
“Vivid Seats’ innovative technology will enable us to transition from playing catch-up with industry best practices to being proactive in providing the modern ticket solutions that Notre Dame fans expect,” Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said in a release. “Our common vision with Vivid Seats of creating a familiar, seamless and unified experience for the ticketholder was at the heart of choosing them as our partner.”
With the development of the Notre Dame Ticket Exchange, fans will be able to purchase tickets from the university or through secondary ticket listings. Notre Dame season ticket holders and participants in the football lottery will receive rewards for using the service.
Transactions can be made through und.com/ticketexchange, vividseats.com or by calling 844-224-5240.
