Notre Dame wide receiver commit Jordan Pouncey visited Miami twice this past season.

On Monday, the Hurricanes extended a scholarship. Could it change his commitment status?

“There’s not much to talk about,” Pouncey said in a text message when asked for an interview about the new Miami offer.

Despite attending Miami home games against Florida Atlantic and Florida State this past season, Pouncey said he doesn’t plan to visit Miami again.

Pouncey is one of only two wide receivers committed to Notre Dame’s 2017 class – the other being Michael Young. Both are rated as three-star recruits.

The Irish have continued to make the wide receiver position a priority. They hosted Jamire Calvin and Oliver Martin for official visits earlier this month and recently extended an offer to Gavin Holmes.

Pouncey, a 6-foot-2, 186-pound recruit, scored on a 17-yard touchdown reception in the Florida Athletic Coaches Assocation North-South All-Star Classic on Saturday. Pouncey caught eight passes for 83 yards for the North team, which lost 38-23.
