Six Notre Dame commits in final Top 247 for 2017 class

247Sports became the second recruiting service to release its final rankings for the 2017 class this week. 

Rivals did so first on Tuesday. Its Top 300 included eight Notre Dame commits.

On Wednesday, the last Top 247 featured six Notre Dame commits.

Offensive tackle Josh Lugg leapfrogged to No. 84 overall to receive the highest ranking of Notre Dame's class from 247Sports. After a strong performance at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Lugg jumped 203 spots in the overall rankings and settled into the No. 13 spot for offensive tackles.

The other five Irish pledges were ranked as follows:

TE Cole Kmet — No. 88 overall, No. 3 tight end.

OL Robert Hainsey — No. 135 overall, No. 8 offensive guard.

OL Aaron Banks — No. 185 overall, No. 23 offensive tackle.

TE Brock Wright — No. 189 overall, No. 6 tight end.

DT Darnell Ewell — No. 209 overall, No. 14 defensive tackle.
