Braden Lenzy: still fast.

The Notre Dame wide receiver commit won Oregon’s Class 6A state championship in the 400-meter dash on Saturday for the second straight year. Lenzy, a junior at Tigard High, won with a time of 47.92 seconds. His title in 2016 came in 48.38.

Lenzy was unable to bring home titles in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Lenzy set the pace with the fastest time in the 200 prelims, but he finished second in the finals at 21.73 behind Rieker Daniel’s 21.49.

Lenzy finished fourth in the 100 with a 10.76. Anthony Albright won the race with a 10.54.

Lenzy, who committed to the Irish football program in February, also plans to run track at Notre Dame.

Both Rivals and 247Sports peg Lenzy as a four-star recruit. 247Sports slates him as the No. 10 athlete in the 2018 class. Rivals ranks him the No. 15 athlete.
