Oh, watch list season. How we missed you.

The Rimington Trophy — which is awarded annually to college football's premier center — released its watch list on Monday, and Notre Dame senior Sam Mustipher made the cut. A 6-foot-3, 305-pound senior, Mustipher was one of 60 centers to be featured on the list.

A native of Olney, Md., Mustipher started all 12 games for Notre Dame last season after appearing in nine games in 2015. He did not play in his freshman season in 2014 and thus has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Notre Dame will return four offensive line starters in 2017: Mustipher, left tackle Mike McGlinchey, left guard Quenton Nelson and right guard Alex Bars.

Mustipher's little brother, defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher, is a consensus four-star 2018 recruit and is considering Notre Dame alongside Penn State, Alabama, Michigan, Miami and many others.
