Five Notre Dame commits held steady in the newly released Rivals 250 for the 2018 class.

All five Irish pledges were also on the list in the previous February release.

Safety Derrik Allen remains the top-ranked Notre Dame commit, according to Rivals. He’s pegged as the No. 3 safety and No. 47 overall.

Quarterback Phil Jurkovec, the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback and No. 69 overall, still holds the top spot for Irish commits on offense.

The three other Notre Dame commits on the list sit outside the top 100: Bo Bauer (No. 6 inside linebacker, No. 129 overall), Micah Jones (No. 29 wide receiver, No. 170 overall), and Markese Stepp (No. 11 running back, No. 224 overall).

The Irish class did take a hit overall between the latest two Rivals rankings. In the Rivals 250 from February, Notre Dame had seven commits on the list. The differences came with cornerback Kalon Gervin, who is no longer committed to the Irish, and wide receiver Braden Lenzy.

Gervin remains on the list as the No. 12 cornerback in the class and No. 104 overall. Lenzy dropped off the list after being ranked at No. 203 overall in February. Lenzy is still rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 15 athlete in the class.

Rivals ranks Notre Dame’s 11-man class No. 6 in the country behind Miami, Penn State, LSU, Ohio State and Florida State. Only Ohio State and Florida State, both with 10 commits, have smaller classes with a higher ranking.
