With high school football season nearly underway, ESPN took a stab at ranking the top recruits in the junior class. Both of Notre Dame’s 2019 commits made the first ESPN Junior 300.

Defensive tackle Jacob Lacey received the higher ranking of the two Irish pledges. ESPN pegged him as the No. 11 defensive tackle and No. 127 overall in the 2019 class.

Quarterback Cade McNamara landed just inside the top 300 at No. 292 overall as the No. 8 pocket passer in the class.

Last week, Rivals released its first Rivals 250 for the 2019 class. Lacey (No. 231 overall) and McNamara (No. 236) both made that list as well.

The complete ESPN Junior 300 can be found here.
