St. Peter's Preparatory School was well represented in 247Sports' final 2018 top 247 rankings, which were released on Thursday.

And, because of that, so was Notre Dame.

Four-star defensive tackle Jayson Ademilola was the most highly ranked Irish commit in the latest rankings, rising seven spots to No. 45 overall. Hot on Ademilola's heels was high school teammate and Notre Dame rover signee Shayne Simon, who rose a whopping 82 spots to No. 48.

In all, eight of Notre Dame's 22 signees or commits appeared in the 247Sports rankings. Trailing Ademilola and Simon were linebacker Jack Lamb (No. 105), quarterback Phil Jurkovec (No. 115), wide receiver Kevin Austin (No. 141), cornerback Houston Griffith (No. 148), wide receiver Braden Lenzy (No. 150) and safety Derrik Allen (No. 161).

All eight aforementioned Notre Dame signees were ranked as four-star recruits.

Besides Ademilola and Simon, Lamb — a 6-foot-3, 211-pound linebacker and early enrollee — was the only Irish player to receive a rankings bump, jumping 14 spots to No. 105. Allen fell the furthest, tumbling 26 spots to No. 161.

As for remaining targets, five-star offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere is ranked as the No. 9 overall player in the 2019 class. Other uncommitted Irish targets include linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu (No. 54), safety Julius Irvin (No. 177), cornerback Taiyon Palmer (No. 200), offensive tackle Jarrett Patterson (No. 214) and defensive end Malik Langham (No. 222)

Notre Dame's 2018 recruiting class is ranked No. 9 overall by 247Sports.
