Notre Dame 2018 CB target D.J. Brown backs off Virginia pledge

Notre Dame has three cornerback signees in its 2018 class.
For now.
That may soon change, as D.J. Brown — a 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback who took an official visit to Notre Dame last weekend — announced his de-commitment from Virginia on Tuesday. The consensus three-star prospect added that he will announce his decision on national signing day on Feb. 7 and choose between three finalists: Notre Dame, California and Northwestern.
A Washington, DC, St. John's College High School standout, Brown also collected offers from the likes of Ohio State, Clemson, Duke, Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, South Carolina, Arizona, Stanford and more.
Notre Dame signed three cornerbacks — Houston Griffith, Tariq Bracy and Joe Wilkins Jr. — in the NCAA's early signing day on Dec. 20. Griffith also enrolled early this month.
Freshman rover Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah also signed with Notre Dame in the 2017 cycle after previously being committed to Virginia.
