Former Notre Dame WR Kevin Stepherson denied release from Fulton County Jail
A Rochester, Ind., judge denied former Notre Dame football player Kevin Stepherson’s request to be released on bond during his Tuesday court appearance. He remains in custody in the Fulton County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 13. Stepherson was arrested on Jan. 30 when he arrived for a violation of his probation hearing. He was taken into custody at that time. Stepherson was found to have violated the terms of his probation stemming from a plea agreement connected to his August 2016 arrest for marijuana possession. Stepherson and four other teammates were pulled over in Fulton County. Stepherson’s plea agreement stipulated that the charges would be removed if he stayed out of trouble for a year. However, he has had several run-ins with the law since then. Stepherson was pulled over in Marshall County in December and charged with marijuana possession, speeding and driving without a valid license. He was charged with conversion after allegedly attempting to shoplift a pair of sweatpants from the Macy’s store in December, and he was arrested a third time for marijuana possession — this time in Whitley County, in January.
