Six Notre Dame commits in updated Top 247 from 247Sports
Kyle Hamilton received the rankings bump following The Opening Finals that many predicted.
247Sports moved the Notre Dame safety commit up 203 spots in the overall player rankings for the 2019 class when it updated its Top 247 on Thursday.
But Hamilton didn't receive the biggest boost in Notre Dame's class. That belonged to offensive tackle Andrew Kristofic and his climb of 212 spots in the 247Sports rankings. Both Hamilton and Kristofic added a fourth star to their previous ratings.
Hamilton and Kristofic are two of six Notre Dame commits to make the updated Top 247. They were joined by defensive end NaNa Osafo-Mensah, defensive tackle Jacob Lacey, and offensive lineman Zeke Correll and Quinn Carroll.
Osafo-Mensah remained as the highest-ranked Notre Dame commit at No. 70 overall and the No. 6 weakside defensive end. He dropped down only two spots in the overall rankings.
Lacey came in next at No. 118 overall and the No. 7 defensive tackle. He moved up one spot in the overall rankings.
Correll received the highest ranking of Notre Dame's four four-star offensive line commitments. 247Sports slates him No. 133 overall as the No. 6 offensive guard.
Just below Correll is Kristofic at No. 137 overall and the No. 18 offensive tackle. He was slated as the No. 37 offensive tackle in the class when he committed back in April.
Carroll is next at No. 144 overall and the No. 19 offensive tackle. He dropped five spots in the overall ranking.
Hamilton rounded out the Notre Dame commits in the Top 247 at No. 156 overall as the No. 10 safety. He was ranked as the No. 26 safety before The Opening Finals.
247Sports slates Notre Dame's class of 17 commitments, which includes 11 four-star recruits, as the No. 6 class in the country behind Alabama, Texas A&M, Michigan, LSU and Ohio State.
Several Notre Dame targets made the Top 247 including offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi (No. 45), wide receiver Joseph Ngata (No. 66), linebacker Nick Henrich (No. 87), linebacker Tristan Sinclair (No. 103), wide receiver Zion Puckett (No. 155), cornerback Trent McDuffie (No. 162), wide receiver Cornelius Johnson (No. 169), cornerback Isaiah Rutherford (No. 204), cornerback Max Williams (No. 211) and offensive lineman Julius Buelow (No. 232),
