The last time Rivals updated its rankings in June, the Irish only had four commitments on the Rivals 250. That number increased to six when the recruiting service released a new version Wednesday.

The two additions came from linebacker Osita Ekwonu and safety Kyle Hamilton.

Ekwonu wasn't committed to Notre Dame when the previous Rivals 250 was released. He gave his pledge to the Irish shortly after that in June. Rivals ranks him as the No. 9 inside linebacker and No. 185 overall.

Hamilton previously wasn't near the Rivals 250 as a three-star recruit. But he jumped up to four-star status as the No. 18 safety and No. 227 overall.

The other four Notre Dame commits remained in roughly the same spot on the list: Quinn Carroll (No. 7 OT, No. 42 overall), John Olmstead (No. 12 OT, No. 68 overall), Litchfield Ajavon (No. 5 S, No. 85 overall) and NaNa Osafo-Mensah (No. 8 WDE, No. 174 overall).

Rivals ranks Notre Dame's 2019 class of 17 commitments at No. 15 nationally.
